S-AFCII = 14whp/8wtq

Had it dyno tuned today and I was looking for #'s in the 240's but I am happy with the increase.
Headers,UDP,FC-intake,S-AFCII,FC Catback, CM race pipe
1st run-222.1whp/229.9wtq
2nd run(now tuning w/ S-AFCII)-231.1whp/234.6wtq
3rd run(still tuning)-236.2whp/237.9
All 4th gear pulls without a fan for cooling.
I will get the dyno-graph on here tomorrow.

Man I wish I could find one for around 200 now Very nice gains you acheived from the tuning. What part of the powerband do you feel it most while driving, if any? My next toy hopefully soon....

Get that chart up.

Sorry, those are Hotshot Headers. It seems that the car runs a lot smoother and around 3rd to 4th gear is where I can definitely feel more power on the A$$ dyno. It was waaaaaaaaayyyy out of tune.

did they use a wideband 02 sensor ? do you have a A/F chart along with your dyno plot ? I think you would crack 240 if you had some lighter wheels.

that was gonna be my question are you doing the tuning or is the shop with the dyno. seems like if you extended that redline you'd be lookin at NICE power

Was the install hard? And I have the same question as everybody else. Are you doing the tuning yourself, or are the guys at the shop messing with the SAFCII?

Afc Ii

The SAFC is a very good tuning tool, when used with a wide band O2(most good dynoes have). I have used all versions in either 3000gt VR4 or my Eagle Talon TSI. The first mod I made to my 3000gt was to install a SAFC it allowed Alteredatmosphere(tuner) to lean me out where the factory was fat and fatten me where I was running lean. They are mostly installed when fuel system mods have been made ie: fuel regulator, fuel pump and fuel injector, that are your limiting factors.

Ammi-They did the tuning
The KID-an S-AFCII adjusts your air to fuel ratio, which is very important in making power and you can purchase them all over the internet.
Blackbirdvq-yes they used a wideband o2 and I have to get the run files today.
Spiromax-I had them do the install(30-40 min)---Tuning(45 min)

A minimally modded car won't see nearly as high of gains, right?

Looks like decent gains from tuning it right... post em plots when ya can... I've love to see em... and yeah, those first run numbers of 222.1whp/229.9wtq seem pretty low with all the mods ya have...

Is this normally all the longer it takes to hook it up...or had they done a bunch before? I am just wondering so the shop I go to doesn't try and juke me for a bunch of hours.

I am in with everyone else that says the number before this mod were extremely low. I thought headers added like 15whp? He should have at least 25 whp over stock before the SAFC-II..

i don't see why it wouldn't work stock, stock we run really rich anyway so leaning it out from the beginning shouldn't be waste should it?

I am not sure what elevation I am at but I agree with you spanishrice & puppetmaster...I thought my numbers before the tuning were low, I was expecting high 220's.

I'll probably go with a place called Crazy Horse in South Amboy. That's where I originally dyno'd my car.

I have basically the same setup except no catback setup and got 237whp and roughly that in tq. I getting a safc-ii and a wideband to see if i can squeeze more out of it. i know my a/f ratio was whacked up everywhere

I decided to place it here. Yes I know it can catch someone's eye but I live on an Air Force Base so I am not too worried about it.

lol, no I am a righty. That is only place that I thought was best for me to look at it.
2001semax-It is adjusted, I only change the views. If I was to adjust something else, my car will probably crap out on me because I am not experienced on this thing.

No..no..no. You know or at least can learn your car better then they can.

Just use their dyno/wideband and make the changes yourself after looking at the plot.
