please help me out 2k1 max

hey guys i got a cold air intake and thought that it would give me a roar even when the care was idoling but it dont so now someone told me the best thing to get to get that roar even while idoling is a muffler. So i searched around and found this one http://www.2kracing.com/product_info...c2acd618064634

if anyone could check it out and tell me what they think i would really appreciate it.

No CAI will make a "roar" when idling bc the whole point is that cool air is moving into it which only happens when you're driving ... i haven't heard much about that muffler but from seeing lots of other threads the most popular ones are frankencar, cattman, and greddy (loudest)

I don't mean to be harsh, but that looks to much like a chromed out (which is nice) stock muffler. Also, that type muffler probably isn't going to give you that commanding sound your looking for, not to be buzz kill or anything but a 18 hp boost seems far fetched.

If you really want a commanding sound get a GReddy muffler and some headers, and a custom plumbing system doesnt hurt either.

i know the horsepower boost sound absurd but i talked to someone who has a frankencar cat back and he told me it barely sounds different from stock, any suggestions on what could make my car rival like a g35's roar plus i dont have much cash to spend like 250 max

1. The G35 doesnt "roar"...It is virtually silent at idle.....
2. If your car is "roaring" at idle, you are not driving a maxima, you are driving a lawn mower
3. The closest you can get to a G35 sound is a y-pipe/headers, test pipe, and frankencar exhaust. It's still gonna be fairly quiet at idle.

But a roaring exahust (I.e. Mustang with straight pipes) and a mellow, smooth exhaust (G35) are opposite ends of the spectrum.

If loud and obnoxious is what you want, just get a big fart-can for the back and sound like all the guys in their Civics out there....If smooth and mellow is what you want, Frankencar is the way to go.

Your V6 will never sound like a muscle-car V8 or a Harley, no matter what you do.....And it will never sound just like a G35.

my cousins diamante had that deep loud tone from his neuspeed muffler and just totell you there is no way a v6 could ever sound like those "ricers" aka civics and integras. the g35 coupe has a nice sound my friend just got one and it sounds real good. Im not talkin bout soundin like a harley thats to loud just something to nake my car noticible when someone sees me driving by and something that i could hear while driving so loud but not that loud.
