Y pipe with a Gutted Cat!

Just curious since i will be purchasing a Ypipe in the upcoming days. Will the sound of the car dramatically change or will it remain same??

Gutted cats don't do anything. A hollow cat will slow the exhaust gases down, and if anything it will hurt performance. It will also make it louder than it needs to be. If you really want to lose the cat just spend the $30 or whatever for the test pipe.

Y pipe however will make some interior noise but a big difference in power. That is unless the flex section goes bad.

you might be talking about precats that are in the y pipe and those are definitely something to get rid of but the regular one is fine.
