bent rims

anybody bend your 17inch se rims? i have this wobble which i still didnt figure out. i dont know if its a hop in the tire or bent rims. also i feel that my car always needs steering input. even on straight roads. i wonder if i need the rack adjusted? other then that the car has been running pretty stong.

Sounds like you need a wheel balance and an alignment.

Was it fine before? Does it feel more when you apply the brake? maybe you drove on a flat and you have bad tire(s) do a visual inspection, if you can, lift the front end with a jack remember be safe! put it in drive and see what happens to the wheels and tires. Look for warpage and uneven rotation.

Hope this helps.

could be:
- bent rim (I bent a OEM 17)
- bad bearing (I had a bad bearing)
- tire balance weight came off (had that too)
- alignment bad (had that)
- worn tie rod ends (had that)

have a mechanic check it out....all 5 of these things are very easy to diagnose....

when i bent my rim, it was visible on the inside face - so maybe check that out. if not visibly bent, they will be able to tell when you go in for a wheel balance. the wheel is ususally difficult to balance when the rim is bent - ask the tech as they are working on it.
