S4

I have had the rare opportunity to drive an S4. I still think about it and it brings a smile to my face. The $$ is high but if you are thinking about 2003, it's worth a budgetary consideration...

ya sure that's an A4? looks too big. it's most likely an A6. that's pretty cool. maybe Oettinger did something cool again. man.... Audi's... heck, Oettinger!

i wish there were more companies doing our cars than just Stillen...

it's cool, tho. i LOVE MY MAX!

I think thats the new body style for the a4. I know they've "bubbled" it a little more to fall in line with the current a6 and the tt look. Check out the news articles on http://www.audiworld.com. That one looks nice but I prefer the old body style. I wonder if Audi has any plans to bump up the s4 to compete with the new m3. If they do, I can't wait to see them!

hahah.. i wonder if the Audi forums are gonna be looking at this thread!

yeah, i don't really like the new "butt" of it either and it seems like it's a lot less nimble looking compared to the present A4.

this is definitely a pleasant site, tho.

It's hard to tell them apart now (A4&A6) they look so much alike.

Here's another one

The real thing with Audis is that you have to get the ones with plumbing. First they are a blast to drive and second, you drop a 500$ chip in them and you get an extra 60HP. That sort of mod costs 4000$ on any non-plumbed (balled) car.

Right now if I had to make the choice between an A6 or an S4, it's an S4 all the way. Th A6 is a beauty, but I need fun to drive.

- Just wondering, would you guys do OSCAI to this engine?
- Would you guys bust out the Resonator of this filter and exhaust system?

GT6 Beetle

Speaking of Audi... I got a kick out of this article on the GT6 Beetle in the June issue of Motor Trend:

http://www.hpamotorsport.com/mt1.html

...a 500 hp turbocharged Beetle that does 0-60 in 4.25s, and a 12.99 1/4-mile.

Apparently Audi/VW parts are highly interchangeable.

S6 at Firebird Raceway

There was a brand spankin' new Audi S6 out at Firebird Rcwy last Friday. He still had paper tags and was already at the strip! I thought it was a pretty sweet ride, except I liked the looks of the S4 more. At any rate, on his first pass, he toasted his clutch and had to get the car towed!!!

It was a lovely sight... all four Maximas still running and the S6 getting winched up onto a flatbed!
