I've dealt with Warpspeed quite a few times, no problems and nice people. Good product, good price.

NmexMAX thanks for d info.they are the shorty headers right, and they would fit on the stillen y-pipe direct fit? or you sayin i should just get rid of the stillen and go cattman cant afford much right now.

Cattmans system wont work with any other y-pipe besides the one it comes with.

If you can't afford much right now, don't do much right now.

i've noticed that some people put aftermarket y-pipes on their cars with no other exhaust modifications. is it that much of a benefit?

Yes, very beneficial(i.e. more power, dyno proven) w/o the noise. On your car though, (VQ35) I would stay away from a y-pipe and get a set of headers.

Is there something up with the Stillen Y-pipe that makes the cattman a better buy? I'm actually a little concerned that if i drop for Headers It'll be mad sound all over the highway and lose too much bottom-end torque because of no backpressure. . .trying to retain some streetable characteristics and a little stealth if you know what i mean...

Cattman headers are best, period.

Stillen equal-length Y-pipe is second-best.

Cattman Y-pipe is third best.

Warpspeed and Budget are tied for fourth.

Everything else either sucks or is inconsistent in build quality.

so, what's the best Y-pipe if stillen makes second best and cattman makes 3rd best?

There is none. Stillen equal length would be, but that's history, and only A32 trim, not 3.5L equipped.

You read wrong. I meant that Cattman headers are the best thing to have, and the Stillen Y-pipe is the second-best thing (I actually forgot about Hotshot headers... they fit somewhere in the top 3).

If you're just looking at Y-pipes, it's Stillen equal-length first, Cattman second.

EDIT: by NmexMAX...

sounds like cattman and stillen are the two better options. Can someone put together a poll comparing the two?

What would be the best exhaust upgrade to install first...headers, ypipe, or bpipe??

Also, exhaust vs intake first?

search, search, search........

bpipe is cheapest for a couple hp
headers are most expensive for the most hp
ypipe is not worth it with a VQ35 car.

.....that's all you need to know.

uh.....

headers have nothing to do with the tranny. Engine power is engine power, regardless of transmission.

In 2003+ Maximas, the pre-cats are integrated into the headers, so they'll still be there if you install an aftermarket Y-pipe. Since the pre-cats are the most restrictive part of the exhaust, replacing anything downstream of them won't really do much.

Ok, so w/ a 2003 se, would it make most sense to install both headers and y-pipe (say Cattman)?

Aftermarket headers include the Y-pipe section, so you wouldn't need to buy the Y-pipe.

bullpile.

Handling mods are QUITE beneficial, because the faster you can take a turn the less you have to wait for the slushbox to get in the right gear
