I'd imagine they aren't too different performance wise... as for quality and fitment, none of the 5th Gen guys seems to complain about either of em...

I noticed that Warpspeed has a new Super-Flo y-pipe. How does that one differ from their original? Any loss or gain in HP due to the new design?

I would go Cattman(I have Cattman Y pipe now)....I bought stuff from warpspeed and I had to contest everything on my credit card from them since they would not return my calls or refund my money do to fitment issues. There have been many many many threads about the **** that warpspeed sells. Stay away from them believe me.

I have read many bad things about Warpspeed. I'd say go Cattman.

the wsp's have fitment issues with the 02-03 max's, not the 00-01.

My 2K1 had fitment issues. The hanger was off by a country mile. I got one of the first few years ago. It still has a bit of a clearance issue with the O2 sensor close to the pan. I had a muffler shop remove his second attempt at a hanger and put just a regular hanger on it. Other than that is is ok. I painted it with high temp paint (for BBQ) and so far no real rust and that is through 2 Chicago winters. So I got what I paid for. It was cheaper than Stillen's at the time, and looked better than Budget's. I don't think Cattman had one, or if I knew about them then. .02

For 5.5s, 6-10 whp from a y-pipe vs 20-25 whp from headers... on average that is... not considering other mods and tuning...

reason why stillen is more expensive is cause they put time and research into their product and others come and take the data and make their own .

i have warpspeed and i have complaints

Warpspeed.... have had one on for about year and a half now with no problems. A few minor install issues but no big deal. Price is right too.

I'm happy with my warpspeed pipe. I'm not sure what 5th gen pipes go for, but my 3rd gen was only 160 shipped.

Damn you have been on org long enough and you have never read thread after thread after thread about the **** that warpspeed sells. If you could search you would understand.

When you buy Cattman or Stillen you dont get the *** ups like hangers being welded in the wrong place or the wrong direction or the pipes not being bent right. You pay for what you get.

haha. I was just on Warpspeed's website. First of all, it's a crappy website (then again, Cattman's website kinda sucks right now too). Second, they take a lot of cheap shots at their competitors like Budget and Cattman (one of their pics has a fat cat in it with a pic of a y-pipe below featuring the caption "copy cat man"). If Cattman is copying Warpspeed's products, they're doing a damn good job of making the product better.

Puppetmaster: You wrote 6-10 with a Ypipe and 20-25 with headers. I'd like to know the numbers with a cat back, high flow cat, intake and a ECU upgrade added to each: Y-pipe vs. headers? Do the headers take more advantage of the other mods because it is moving more air? Do u have any numbers? The problem I have with headers is to find a shop that understands how to do the install and keep the CEL off. I am going to do the Y-pipe and other mods first and hopefully headers some day.

i am leaning towards the cattman, but how bad is the "bees-in-a-can" sound? I'd love to free up some more HP but if the resonation is too bad i'll just keep the stock one..

Get the Stillen pipe. No fitment issues, thoroughly tested, and nice sound.

does having a good cat-back system, as well as b-pipe help with headers and y-pipe? i know they will increas some horsepower by themselves, but would you see exponential gains with headers/y/b/cat-back, as opposed to headers/y pipe by itself?

warpspeed has worked great for me, didnt even know about the group deal they had but he reminded me before he would let me buy it, its not very often that you find honest people like that and especially an honest business. not to mention it is the exact same thing man just cheaper. and the bees in a can sound.....ive never heard it.

For the $$ Warpspeed is just fine. If I would have installed mine correctly it would have been perfect. It fit fine but I didnt use the hanger, so the flex section busted from having too much stress on it.

If you have enough cash: go with Cattman, so everyone (and maybe you) can be happy. However, if you want something for almost half the price, go with WSP.

I have WSP y-pipe for 2k Cali-spec and fitment was just fine. I'm guessing the earlier versions had problems.

id honestly spend the extra $$$ for the cattman. save money in the long run from quality rather than dealing with problems from poorly made products imo
