car automatically locks?

ok, I just got my max about a month ago and have noticed that sometimes when I get out, the doors automatically lock without me doing it. Has anyone else had this problem and if so, is there anything I can do to fix this. I was unsure the first time, but then it happened again, luckily I always remove the keys as I only have one key right now.

There is nothing wrong with your car, just a potentially problematic Nissan design flaw.

This is from the 2002 online manual. I'm assuming it's the same for 2000.

I thought there was a TSB for this. If you slam the car door hard it could trigger the doors to lock. I've had this happen to me although not frequently so I never bothered to take my Max in. And no, it wasn't due to hitting the unlock button on the fob and then not doing anything.

It ocassionally happens to me, but I have learned to live with it since I don't want the dealer messing with it.
