Cutting Into The Maxima For Switches... Help!

I had a question guys, you know we got those auxillary ports that can be used for switches, how the hell do you guys cut into those things to get switches in there? I took my car to a shop once, and they did a damn near perfect job, I tried doing one myself, damn took me like 3 hrs. Just wondering what tools you all use to put your switches in those auxillary squares on our max.

First pop them off with a screwdriver and towel. Then you can clamp them down and drill a hole for the switch you need.

Take a nail and dimple two indentions next to eachother. Then drill out the holes and take a small file and square up the holes. A little tricky, may need to get a spare piece of plastic and pratice.

Time.

Time & more time. Pop it off with a towel & flat head screw driver. Then measure the opening you need. Draw it lightly on the cap. A smidge smaller than you really need for a snug fit. If it is a square shape you need to cut.... drill really small pilot holes in all 4 corners after you have drawn it. Then use a exacto knife to cut & connect the holes. It works flawlessly.
