car wont start

i tried to start my car last night and it had some trouble upon cranking the engine up. i tried it again and only after i turned the key for the second time and held it, then it started. i also noticed that my rpm needle was still at 0 even when the car was on and idling. even when i started driving the needle didn't move out and the TCS off light and SLIP and service engine light were all on. what is wrong with my car? any help appreciated.

check your battery. you could be getting a low charge from your alternator, which would cause your car to run, but not have enough juice to power anything correctly.
