...isn't that some serious coin? And where can I buy them SEPERATELY? On custommaxima.com you have to buy the headers WITH the y-pipe and the RT cat...I already have a y-pipe, so I'm not gonna spend extra money where it isn't nessicary.

all headers for the maxima include the y-pipe...if you get headers, just sell your y-pipe.
Frankly, though, looking at your mod list, I'm a bit perplexed by your lack of suspension upgrades (RSB, FTSB, LTB, Springs, Struts, Bushings, etc).....the maxima engine stock is pretty strong, but the stock suspension is pathetic and can be improved by a mile with some fairly inexpensive upgrades (esp RSB and LTB)....
why not do some suspension upgrades....taking fast corners is much more fun than going fast in a straight line

That may be true, but I don't tend to do much racing in the twisties, I do my racing in a straight line(I street race from time to time, shhhhh)...it's not like you are ever gonna race anyone side by side in the twisties...I don't even like to drive fast in the twisties anymore, I go through front tires every 5k miles as it is...I will probably get a FTSB soon, since I hear that is one of the best dollar-per-performance upgrades you can do.

by the way:
Maxima without suspension = mad wheel hop and less traction on launches.
Maxima with LTB (Stage II) and springs/struts = no wheel hop and much better traction on launches.
Go look at the fastest FWD cars at your local drag track - all of them have upgraded suspension components to keep the front wheels grabbing....

The Stillen RSB is easier to install (really easy, did it in about 20 minutes) but costs more...

You're asking for it now... many MANY people on here go to the track... and its a 12-14 second 4-door family sedan (depending on mods), boy...
FYI, MardiGrasMax ran a 11.5 last weekend... in his 4-door family sedan....

I personally don't 1/4 race.....I auto-x the maxima, hence the suspension upgrades as my top priority.
Street racing is because it endangers lives, among other reasons.

...and how much money did he spend to do that? If I wanted to run 11's I'd buy a fox-body mustang....9 or 10 grand including the cost of the car will get you 11's...don't get me wrong, I love my car, but it's just not the best choice for track racing.

...and if I wanted to run 10's I'd just get a bike. So what's your point?

There is no such thing as "done correctly" street racing, unless the street is completely closed to public traffic.

Yes, but I bought my maxima because it was a nice car, not a fast car...and yes I am modding it to make it faster, because who doesn't want to be faster than stock, right? I'm just saying I'm not gonna dump insane amounts of cash into a car to make it ridiculously fast when I can get something as ridiculously fast for a lot cheaper, it's a simple matter of macroeconomics in my mind. A maxima is a much nicer car than a fox-body five oh, that's why I have it...unfortunately, I don't have enough money to have both a nice car AND a fast car, or else I would do it.

Just wanted to set that straight...
