Today, I finally got the parts needed for the OSCAI.

I start taking off the stock intake and I was surprised to see this:

BOTTOM:


TOP:


I was expecting an L-pipe and a silencer but it seems my car didnt come with those. The part where the L-pipe should be is just a closed stub -- like an amputated limb or something.

I searched and noticed that Empz mentioned the same thing when he did his oscai. I'am gonna hacksaw it off like he did.

Well.. um... how do I say yes without saying yes? Enough 2k1 owners have mentioned it at this point that I am starting to assume all 2k1s are that way.

 

all 2k1's and some late production 2k's are that way. psing23 has a 2k and his scoop was like that.

 

I have also 2001 but i didn't take the scoop out i just saw if there is an L pipe option and i didn't feel it so i was pretty sure it was blocked. I thought of buying a 2k scoop but then i heard it didn't fit the 2001. all this makes the installation a lot more complicated. sucks for us the 2001 owners.
