i have a quick question, what gave you the idea to put a cut out in your exhaust? in my opinion it doesn't sound very good when you have the flap open but that's just my .02

Because i take a lot of people around in my car so i wanted somthing that allowed me to have some sound when im alone or just with the racing boys. Yet still have a quiet exhaust for when i have 4 girls in the car with me.

I like that a lot. It sounds really good with it open at WOT, but you don't have to deal with it all of the time. It's a really good idea.

It sounds like you have a bad muffler, it's not how a cat back sounds like AT ALL! sounds like car fart to me, keep it closed or maybe route it to a cat back exhaust or something , but not that way... Maybe it's even dangerous coz the hot fumes coming out of that section of the car might be a hazard. Fuel tank, brake lines, side skirts, etc etc.........

I wouldn't do that.

definitly keep that sucker closed!! haha it sounds like your muffler fell off. its a cool idea, and if you did it on your own pretty well done! its just doesnt sound good.

you want to hear something similiar done to perfection, check out the kreiseg valvetronic F1 exhaust videos (for m3's, porsche, ferrari, and lambo's)

Never hit anything. i have put white paint on the bottom to check and it never rubbed off .. i ended up taking it off later on. My Friend has it on his lowered IS and the Plastic air dams in front hit the ground first

If you dynoed it with the cutout open, I'm certain it would out perform ANY cat back exhaust system no matter how nice they might sound.

The reason to put in a cutout like that is to keep a bone stock exhaust, but with the flip of a switch..presto...an open exhaust.
