Well after a lot of people asking me how i did my exhaust, i have finnally made a video for it. Here it is, let me know what you think!

It sounds like you have a bad muffler, it's not how a cat back sounds like AT ALL! sounds like car fart to me, keep it closed or maybe route it to a cat back exhaust or something , but not that way... Maybe it's even dangerous coz the hot fumes coming out of that section of the car might be a hazard. Fuel tank, brake lines, side skirts, etc etc.........

definitly keep that sucker closed!! haha it sounds like your muffler fell off. its a cool idea, and if you did it on your own pretty well done! its just doesnt sound good.

Never hit anything. i have put white paint on the bottom to check and it never rubbed off .. i ended up taking it off later on. My Friend has it on his lowered IS and the Plastic air dams in front hit the ground first
If you dynoed it with the cutout open, I'm certain it would out perform ANY cat back exhaust system no matter how nice they might sound.
The reason to put in a cutout like that is to keep a bone stock exhaust, but with the flip of a switch..presto...an open exhaust.
