I'm a Supervisor at a Data center here @EDS. We monitor traffic on major Network such as NYCE, MAC, HONOR, etc.. If something goes wrong I have to decipher it and troubleshoot accordingly. Trust me, something always goes wrong. I love the fast pace enviroment but dont think I should be going through so much stress at the age of 27. Pay is nice and the respectability is good. However, I would love to find a job of similar objectives in the beautiful sunny state of Cali. Do I like my job? It's cool, but not what I dreamed about growing up.
EDS- We're the ones with the weird Superbowl commercials:
Cat herding, and the running of the squirrels.

RF Design Engineer (Electrical Engineer) at Hughes Network Systems

currently working on next-generation of GSM macro-cellular base stations under contract for Nokia. Eventually many cellular phones will probably be talking through these things. The job absolutely kicks butt. It's on the cutting edge and very high tech for a geeko engineer type like me.

Any Maxima guys work at HNS ??

Yeah, I'm right up the street from you at HNS in Germantown. Believe it or not I interviewed with PMC-Sierra this past fall as I was looking for a job / graduating from college, but I decided that ASIC design just wasn't for me (always been an RF guy). Anyways, Hughes made me a great offer so now I'm there. We should meet up for lunch sometime - I'd love to check out your Max

Break the trend. I am an accountant - I work for Paul Allen (not directly), but he owns my company!!! It's not bad, but it gets boring sometimes.

I'm a...

Network Engineer, consulting for a management consulting firm. Most of my projects deal with setting up network infrastructures, designing datacenters and implementing newer Cisco technologies, such as VoIP. I love my job.

I'm gonna graduate school with a degree in Mechanical Engineering here in a couple of days. Then I'm going to work for Norshield Security in Montgomery, AL. They make bullet, blast, and attack resistant doors and windows. They do the security for all the US embassies and most of the fed reserve banks. I'll be a Project Manger. I get architectural drawings of the buildings, then I figure out which products are needed and make sure they are bought, built, shipped, and paid for on time. Sould be fun...

I'm a Business Account Executive for a Cellular company. I am essentially an outside salesman. I enjoy my job, but not what I want to do forever. I want to use my degrees and eventually get into pharmaceutical sales.

I had to get a 4 door b/c of job too, but I tell ya after driving this car ... I think I would have bought it for the love of driving and not just for my job!

That's a job I would seriously hate. I would imagine after about a week you wouldn't be attracted to women anymore!
