I have a 2000 GLE with the tab that opens the sunglass case, but it broke. There is one on ebay that I am thinking of getting, but it is from a 2003. I really like the touch-click design of the newer consoles. The consoles are different, but from the looks of them, they would fit. Anyone done this before? I really hate that every time that I hit a bump the cover falls off. Help please!!!

i have a friend that did the swap. from a an 03 to a 00. his worked.

I was curious since the sunroofs even work differently. The 00 is one touch, but the 02-03 have the selector that lets you choose where it stops. I am at such a crossroads. I should go to dealer and check it out, but I am not sure how likely they are to let me check out whether it will work or not...

im pretty sure this would work just fine...its just the sunroof switch itself that's different...
