in a sense. yeah, but you have to admit that even the 4th gens are REALLY awesome cars! (especially for a 1st car ) and its kinda hard having such an expensive car note and insurance rate while in high school (no, i dont pay my note, but i do pay my insane insurance, and i work very hard for my car) that being said, i still admit i love the 5.5 gen much better than the 4th gen, but they are still great cars and if i could go back, i may have bought one instead of what i have (and believe me, nobody i know would believe i said this...thats how much i love my car)

my first car was a 3rd gen, so there is a very big difference to me between the 2

hehe why not jsut buy a 5.5 gen and keep your 4th gen? best of oth worlds.

since their resale value sucks so bad, you'll be able to afford both plus a nice house...

Hey dude, I was just like that a long while back. The first time I was given the keys to my Maxima I felt like I was driving a 7 series BMW. But that was back then, now my 5th gen is pretty much my beater/daily driver. I'm still very attached to it, but I don't see anymore the "luxury" that impressed me so much before. Funny how we change.

I love the Maximas as a whole. A well taken care of Maxima of any age is a really cool car to see. Timeless styling, and heck you drive what you can... You then upgrade when you can. If you are in school and taking care of yours then you can only aspire to have a latter 6th gen in the future... Keep on keeping on.

I still toy with the idea of getting a 4th Gen to get rid of my payments...

And then going back into debt by SCing it...

Haha, i have learned that you can never be satisfied with the way your car is, there is always going to be something else, at least for me anyways!
