new brake discs rusting?

replaced rear calipers, rotors, and pads about a month ago..how do i prevent the discs (where the pads dont touch) to not rust? it looks so bad to have the rear discs all rusty in the center!! how much do discs costs that have rust preventor on them?? Thanks.

I don't know how much it cost, but its zinc plated.. they dip the disk in that stuff.. ask around your local car shops...

i used high-heat paint masked off the "used" part and painted the rest. if you're going to go the painting route, clean it real good first

i painted the part where it rusted, not the contact area of pads and rotors
