Launching the Max

What is the correct way to launch my 5-speed? I want to have the quickest take-offs with the least amount of tire spin or burning my clutch.

I know how to drive stick correctly. I am talking about... for example... if at the drag strip, and I am trying to launch my car to have the best take off times, what is the best way to do that?

if you dont want to loose the tires then dont drop the clutch..let go faster than normal and just give more gas smoothly

just drop it at a little over 2k for minimal wheel spin; anything more than that on stock tires you'll probably be burnin rubber

It depends on your car and the tires ya got... just try dumping the clutch at various rpms...

I can drop mine at almost 3k and it doesn't spin....

i use to have a 4th gen with the ACT stage 2 clutch.....I launched that thing at 3500 all day and all night slipping it aggressively.....not exactly a dump....but more towards a dump than an actual "slip".....get wut i'm sayin?

that clutch was a monster....it would grip like no tomorrow...plus I had some yokohama avs es100's and lightweight rims.....which gripped fairly well....so launching at 3500 was no problem for me...as far as wheelspin is concerned....it would spin for a few seconds then just go.....no burning through all of 1st gear or bogging like mad here...
