Strut bearings? Diagnose this problem for me...

Basically, if the car is in drive and my foot is on the brakes the car makes a creaking sound when moving the steering wheel. I'm not talking about a CV issue, since I'm not going anywhere near the turn-stops. Just a slight rotation to either side. When the car is in neutral or park and my foot is on the brakes, it doesn't do this. What gives?

could be strut bearing, or could be a bad strut....I had a bad strut, and they seem to be pretty common on the 5th gens. Lemme guess, it's the right side?

Left I think. I'm riding Blues right now...if it is a bad strut, Tokico owes me a new strut. But I don't think it is, the ride is fine.

I had a similar noise, it ended up being a missing coil rubber sleeve, when the shop installed my maxspeed they forgot to put the sleeve back on the spring it so when I turn the wheel in park it squeek, because it's metal on metal.
