$300 for install includes the kit too? or is that $179 + $300? How long do you need the car/lights for?

Seriously guys, unless you don't have an oven, there's no real need to pay $100+ to have these things installed. Search around, there's a member here (goldmaxNYC?) who knows how to remove the HIDs w/the Data Dots. From there, just follow the instructions on housecor's site and there's really no way you could mess it up. Bake, open, epoxy rings in, rebake, seal, re-install. Wiring is cake. It's really just 2/10 on a difficulty scale, save yourself an easy $100.

EDIT: Don't mean to encroach on anyone's business activities, but just meant as an evalution of the amt of difficulty for anyone that does not know.

apparently Umnitza will have to. But I think he spoke of the fact that the wiring in the ballast is updated a bit and the materials are more rigid and forgiving. Something like that anyway. Theyre just better...

Look at my sig.... I know how to open the lights. For me, I seem to have more money than time lately, so if this "pro" is in my backyard it doesnt hurt to look at the options. Thanks for keeping your fellow max-head in check though.

Well we are getting an update on who is in on the GD, but no explanation on the exact "improvements". The 2-liner explanation earlier wasn't that great.

There is no big improvement, The electrical part might be that its now easier for the ballast to work during cold days... thats probably it, I might be wrong but i dont see something better they are good as it is

i dont really use my angel eyes during the winter i rather show them up in the summer months!

The rings are built a little more firmly, there are little changes that the customer will likely not see.

Understood, but would like to know that something is different before we pay for a new, improved and pricier product.

If you would like install, Labor is $300. We run all our wires with the factory wiring and hide/zip tie them so they are un-noticed.
We also solder all our connections between the ballast, wiring harness, and tap in.
Baking is not the easiest thing in the world. If you mess up, you're out $650 a side. You will get glue on the lense. For those that don't clean it correctly, you will scratch your lenses etc, so be warned.
We take our time. Last Sat's install took us over 6 hours. We do a top knotch and professional job, and that's why we get paid $300+ (yes, we even get tipped ) per install.

The new DDEs will have a more secure ballast. It will almost get ride of the "cold start" problem.

Feel free to email me if you have any questions, or just post them here

Well, two things - before you call "rip off" everyone is entitled to charge whatever they want. And if his QOS (quality of service) which is hard to find these days is better, it might be worth it.

I can only vouch for his QOS, and I know it's good.

If he chooses to lower his price to be competitive, that's up to him.

Depends on who and where we ship it to.
Basically, if we get 10 participants, Cynicalwry is offering them for $179.
Or, if you prefer not to wait and save $20, we have them on the web for $199.

We can argue this plenty of times but the truth is someone here might pay 300 dollars, for $175 angel eyes...in my opinion why pay twice as much...? if we got some people here that can help out and still charge a lot less....

dont take this the wrong way I am just trying to save someone money, that might want this product but cannot afford 300 dollars for installation.
