dash kit

hey for everyone who has put in a head unit in their 02 max seen a double din are do you have to fabricate somethin your self. i got a pretty sick eq and i wanna put it in. i just dont wanna put it in the glove box or somethin like that(to much work) also are there different colors. anyhelp would be great. i already have my alpine 9833 in but my kit just isnt to sturdy. plus it doesnt match thanks

how come one of the units isnt flush, is it just because of the deck that you have. did uoi make that your self or does it come like. that. looks real good i just want all of my stuff to be flush. thanks for the quick reply.

the top is the EQ. it was less deeper than the deck. in order to make the eq match the deck, i would have had to make more holes in the bracket, and did not feel like messing with it...

got ya but it does come with the 2 holes right?? you dont have to cut anything do ya

no the dash kit. i am sorry i didnt make it real clear. i just wanted to know if it has 2 openings in it. like would i be able to put my deck in the bottom or on top??

yes it does. but seriously, keep the GXE kit in mind. it is more flush, but it is more expensive also....

The Sosche kit and Metra kits do not go well with our aftermarket units. Like Zippin said, get the GXE kit. You're better off finding someone here on the Org. selling one. The GXE kit is much better and looks much more of a match with the dash. My setup has the GXE kit almost like Zippin's:

I bought it off someone here on the org. for about $40.00 a while back. Just wondering, how can the 4th gener. kit fit in the 5th gener? I had a '95, and it's totally different. I believe Irish used the 4th gener. pocket to fit in the pocket space of the 5th gener. I was thinking of doing the same thing because I have an extra radio console bracket from my "95 and it has the flip down pocket. I'm getting rid of my Kenwood setup and getting an Alpine.
