45K Service - How Much ?
45K Service - How Much ?
Hi,
My 2K2 SE is due for its 45K service.
I'm not sure the 30K service was done on this car. I think the main difference between the 30 and 45K service is in the auto-transmission service, so I intend to do the 45K now, and the auto-transmission service separately.
How much should i expect to pay for the 45K service, service
Any reputable and reasonably priced place in Baltimore/DC/VA area?
thanks - Noela

You should also do a radiator flush if the car hasn't had one. It's normally done @ 30K.
You don't need to go to a stealership for a 45K service. The more important service intervals are @ 30K and 60K. The 45K service is likely the same as the 15K service, at least it is on 4th Gens.
Check the air filter as well.
Many of the service requirements that are done are simply visual checks that any mechanic can do if they have the service schedule.

Thanks. Apart from radiator flush, the 30K service also includes:
--automatic transmission fluid replacement/flush
--replacement of drive belts
--replacement of free-running hub grease
I believe these items will also be inspected as part of the 45K service, and if found defective, I will have them change it as well.
Regarding the transmission fluid.....is it better to flash it or just change the fluid. Is it better to do the flush at a nissan dealer or let independents do it.
thanks - N
