i was at the texaco today filling up the tank (1.75 for 91 octane). well i open the door a bit, next thing you know, a gust of wind comes by and blows my door open, and it hit that concrete/cement pilar. it hit it pretty hard. quickly get out of the car to look at what damage was done, and to my surprise, nothing happened. the crappy paint didn't even chip. i was so relieved, thank nissan for that functional piece of molding.

 

let's pray in the future that all nissan paint will be made like the molding

btw, modling paint doesnt chip...it peels off 'cause it is painted over on a piece of plastic and it doesnt stick as well as metal.

Heh, funny you should mention the paint. The paint is peeling off my moulding. Hrrmmm...

 

replace it, u can heat it with hair dryer and peel it off. Then paste a new one on there. those are just like stickers....a 30 dollar sticker.
