cost of dropping a max.

How much did it cost you guys to drop your max? For all 4 springs. Or for just the fronts. Anyone around the central jersey area know of a place where i can do this for a fair price? I went to midas and was told that the fronts would go for over a little 200. Let me know fellas...

Parts or labor? Not sure that your question is very clear... but I'm assuming you're talking labor....

I got all my parts used... $165 for struts, $100 for springs... install cost me $125 but if I had the time, I coulda done it myself for free (with a buddy or 2)... this is for the complete suspension, not just the front... don't pay anything over $200 for all 4 is my take...

it's not a good idea to just put the springs in. you'll possibly blow out your OEM struts.

[Dr. Evil] One MILLION dollars! [/Dr. Evil]

but seriously, not much about 5-600 depending on what setup you get, new/used? also, coilovers are 700+ depending on which brand you get. If I were to start all over again, I would def. get a set of coilovers.... they are worth the money, and they nice.

for not installing lowering springs on your car without new shocks.... you will blow them. save your self time and money down the line by doing it right the first time.

Look at the northeastern section here. A couple ppl in NY do suspension installs, I had mine done in Northern NJ by Tom (njmaxseltd) for a reasonable price back then. I believe he now charges $125 for a complete suspension install which is very reasonable. Click here for more info/options

EDIT: assuming you were talking about labor.
Parts cost me ~$450 (Teins + Tokicos)

If you go look in the Regional forums, you might find a list of local Org members who would be willing to help you for free or for less money than the shops in your area. Some of them even accept pizza and beer as payment.
