Whats The Best Sparks For 01 Max
Whats The Best Sparks For 01 Max
Hey Guys, I'm At 100k Like A Lot Of Others On The Org. And Wanted To Get Some Thoughts On New Spark Plugs For My Max. This Will Be The First Tune Up On The Car Since I Bought It With 88k On It. I Wanted To Know If You Guys Recommend Oem Sparks From Nissan Or After Market Bosch Plat 4? Which One's Would Be The Best For The Vq? The Price From Nissan On Each Spark Is About 15 Bucks For One And A Bosch Is About $5 For Each? Big Price Difference But I'm Willing To Go As Long As Its Worth The Cost.
Any Help Or Thoughts Would Really Be Appreciated!

NGk Platinum
I just recently changed my plugs at about 100K, which was in accordance with the Nissan vehicle information. On any Japenese car, you pretty much should only be looking at two options on plugs, NGK (OEM) or Nippodenso. You can't go wrong with either one. Bosch plugs are good for many of the European imports like BMW, Mercedes, Volvo and Saab, but they stink in a Japenese vehicle in comparison to the NGK/Nippodenso.
You should always go with the plug reccommendation from the manufacturer. The car was built with the plug performance in mind, so using a Champion, AC/Delco or Bosch plug is going to cut down on the efficiency built into the ignition system by Nissan.

look like NGK all the way, I never really thought that the spark plugs were made for each car specifically for that reason. The bosch I thought were going to be a good replacement only because the Plat 4 and AutoZone sells them as the top of the line and a bigger reason was the price. But F**K it, I'll spend a few more $$ and get my engine what it needs and deserves.
Thanks for the tips and thoughts
