I posted the first time yesterday, but i didn't introduce myself that well, and since u guys seem like the nicest bunch on a message board,i would like to. My name is Romie(pronounced like Ronny or Ronnie), and about two months ago i bought a 20th ann. silver maxima, with black leather(fully loaded, except the 6-disc option). And man,im the happiest man alive....and i'm only 17, prob the youngest on this board. I did buy it with MY money,in case you were wonderin.Countless hours in a gas station,7 days a week for almost a year is how i was able to buy it. Now,i am far from car illiterate, but i dont know as much as u guys seem to know....so no makin fun of me when i ask...lol. Right now i have a question....Whats the A-pillar, where is it located? I see there are a few probs with it,and since i hear a rattle in my glove box area, and my bose system....i'd like to know.....thanx alot, and sorry for the novel

Welcome to the forum.
Anyways, the A-pillar is panel that runs up and down where your tweeters are located. For a picture, look through the "how to" sticky... someone (I don't remember who) did a auto-dimming mirror mod and has a picture of the a-pillars removed...

as for the rattling, do a search... you'll find a TON of previous discussion as well as info for a TSB.

Welcome to the org.

You'll probably get this response a few times. Check out the "Stickies" at the top of this forum. Chances are you're not the only one that has experienced some sort of rattling. Also try the Search at the top of the page. There is a TSB also for some kind of rattling(also check stickies). Surprisingly enough you are not the youngest on the org. I don't know how you guys do it but i had to wait until I was 27 to get my max. Happy reading, and driving. Again welcome.

don't pay too much attention to all these guys talking about mods. they'll have you in the poorhouse in a matter of minutes. besides, you bought an AE, what else could you want?

Dude - It's not just any Max, it's YOUR Max. Each one has its own personality and therefore, they're all different.

As for the $tealin' supercharger, I was just reading a thread on the General Message Board (I think) about a guy who got screwed on his warranty from $tealin' due to replacing a pulley of some sort and the thing broke. He is NOT a happy camper. You may want to read it for some info b4 you part with your cash.

Cheers!

Welcome aboard! You're right. We ARE the nicest people...but it's probably because of the good vibes we get from driving our Maximas!

I haven't done any mods, and still love the car in it's pristine and essentially new condition (even after 3200 miles)..and look how much money I've already saved!!

Well, happy birthday Maxedout2g, and welcome RomieG! I'm pretty new to the forum too since I got my Max not over 3 week ago. I'm still trying to soak up all the info here!

Welcome, welcome. Just don't let anyone try and tell you that buying and sticking a maxima.org sticker to your car will add horsepower. Thats what I got when I asked about ordering the stickers when I was new.

Everyone's a comedian.
