Secret Weapon R Filters

Just thought that I'd try out a different set up for an intake. I'm using my Frankencar mid-pipe with a secret weapon r (sw-1) filter. Instead of the Stillen intake, I figured I'd try the sw-1 (dense foam). Got everything all apart, and realized that they sent me the wrong mass air adapter. I'm just posting this to anyone else who decides to try this set up. Make sure that the store that you order it from knows that 2002 se's have a 3.5 LITER, and not a 3.0 LITER MOTOR. I had the sales guy telling me that my car had a 3.0 and thats the reason it didn't fit. Be sure to specify your motor size because WEapon R has it in their data banks that nissan didn't change motor displacement until 2003. I run into this alot with companies not knowing that nissan switched to the 3.5 liter motor in 2002 (especially when I was looking for brakes, and reps would ask me all the vital info to complete the order) The problem is being resolved, they are sending me a universal adapter to fit to my car. I'll keep you posted if I notice anything better in the performance department over the stillen K&N setup. How pissed do you think I was when I had everything ready to go and realized that they sent me the wrong part?

Foam filters are terrible in filtering and flow. And when they get old, the engine sucks on all the foam debris that deteriorates.

Custom built by me Long? You mean with all the development and fabricating time? Or just to install? Installation is pretty easy once you have the brackets (available from me) rotors, ss lines and 300zx calipers.

Polishing the calipers took A LONG TIME. Not sure if I'd do it again.

Will clear most 17" wheels but not stock 17" maxima wheels. G35 coupe wheels and some 350z wheels will clear I believe

Those are stock. Stock Nissan at least. hehe I run stock Cobra 17x8 wheels. heh.

You can run a Blemco kit. 12.x 2k4 rotors, bracket, lines and you get to use your stock wheels.
