Sound Quality of PAC adapter?
#3
I used this one: http://www.crutchfield.com/S-419ug4V...sp?I=142C4NN03 from crutchfield in my Pathfinder to add an Alpine headunit to the factory bose system since the stock changer crapped out. It was an easy install just match the color wires and plug in then adjust the gain for each speaker. In my opinion it sounds like crap compared to the stock bose and I can't get much volume out of it before it distorts... Dunno about the PAC adapter tho.

The PAC-ROEM-NIS2 is the one you want to connect the a/m deck to Bose speakers. I have it and the sound quality is perfect, no complaints at all. As to volume...the Alpine deck goes up to 35, but frankly anything louder than 25 or so is TOO loud....
in short, go with the PAC-ROEM-NIS2, not the crutchfield one.

With factory speakers, you get no argument from me. I have the Bose HU + PAC AOEM-NIS2 with aftermarket speakers and sub. As you turn the volume up, the bass drops. This is designed into the Bose HU to keep folks from blowing speakers due to bass. I worked around it by adding a PPI PAR-225 pre-amp.
