Maxima Zero, what alarm do you have in your car? Did they have any difficuty interfacing with the factory alarm? I have a Clifford IG-7000 with the IntelliStart4 and 2 SmartWindows 4 modules. The car occasionaly when disarmed will activate the cars factory "alarm" mode. I think it is because the factory immobilizer had to be bypassed. Also, if anyone ever does get a remote starter, and the shop can't get it to work, there are 2 starter wires that have to be connected (normal and cold start) via a relay.

i have a dei viper 600esp. just got in in last sunday in fact. my factory alarm is still working, just that i dont use it. then again, i didnt get remote start, and i dunno how much wiring went in it. (my cousin's bf installed it for me while i was at work. he works at curcuit city) i havent experienced any problems at all with it yet. i just want to adjust the sensitivity of the alarm and get my proximity sensor in.

The OEM alarm allows silent arming, with flashing lights.
