I have a 2001. What is the sensor that is on the stock intake and is in the same line as the positive terminal on the battery?

This is Dabox's engine bay:

I know its an 02... but it should be similar... looks like the MAF like Adithius said.... unless the 00-01s are really different....

if its on a horizontal line/plane as the positive terminal then it is air temp sensor. it sits in the stock air scoop and is just to the left of the battery if looking head on.

thats where the air temp sensor is on 00/01. on the 3.5, it is built into the maf.

Thats exactly what I was talking about...whats the purpose of this sensor. I saw a thread on a home made CAI...so just thinking whether I should just integrate the CAI tubing with the stock...thanks guys
