Gald to hear that you got the KSport Max, I am actually a dealer of both Ksport and D2. So it's your preference of which one you gonna go with. D2 does cost abit higher than Ksport usually. Retail on the Ksport is $1300. I offered the $740 to help out ppl in that GB. The normal sale price for Ksport is $800, D2 $825. But if any of you guys want some just let me know and i will honor the current $740 deal for the Ksport til the end of this month.

not fair....haha! I think my drop will be coming some time by the end of the year cuz my car will be PAID OFF!! so i'll have a lot of extra money That is definitely my first priority, but right now, i just dont have the extra money to put aside....i can't wait to see them installed, and i hope everything goes smoothly for you

Looks nice, make sure to lube up them billow ***** on the front with alot of grease to prevent any weird creaks and clunks. If I didn't have my FLTA2s I woulda scored some Ksports myself. JIC rules, and I got a friend over who works there so servicing em isnt a issue no more.

I cant wait to see them installed , i have been waiting months for my paid for D2's and i got these in a week and a half...
i convinced my brother to install them, he is a mechanic and knows what he is doing, hopefully his new boss will let us use the shop after hours so we can have a lift and all of his tools on hand...

As much as people tell ya not to do it, slam the ****. Unlike normal lowering springs, or sleeve type coil overs- that all bottom out the strut/shocks when too low- these coilovers allow you to slam the car, get the killer look and handling. After all the lower the center of gravity the better aint it ? I pretty much had my car lowered bout 2" when I 1st installed my JICs, and now I'm 3.5" lower than stock. The look of a slammed Max is ****.

i just got owned attempting an install
the two bolts on the bottom of the front, stock suspension assembly would not come off... i got some PB blaster to penetrate and i even broke out compressor and impact wrench, and nothing.
so i sucked it up, shot some more PB blaster on the bolts, called by brother to get the car into his shop this week, and put everything back on.
i cannot believe a total of four bolts stopped me dead in my tracks i was soo pissed!!! I think i may have permenantly damaged my engagement as well off to the flower shop first thing in the morning...

You need to use a breaker bar and some muscle. Those bolts are too tight to use anything else. Also make sure your turning the bolt the correct way to loosen. I do that myself sometimes.

i was turning the correct direction (unless they are threaded in reverse). and i figured the impact gun would get them off... ohhh well tues is when i am shooting to get the car into my brothers shop, i really dont have any time till then anyway.

D2 and Ksport are made in the same factory with same material and same designs. The only difference is the color and rust protections methods. Ksport uses zinc eletroplating, D2 uses teflon coating. Nothing else is different.

The lower strut mounts, the collar for the lower strut mounts, and the 2 lower spirng perches are different for the front, and I won't bother with the rear.
So what exactly do you mean they're the same?

I don't have personal experience on this particular application to judge which one is better. I can say that both company makes high quality parts and offer the greatest value. Both are also tracking proven as many SCCA veteran and champions used them and gave great reviews on both companies.
BTW, UpState, did you get the free t-shirt that was in the box? Ksport just made it and start to include them in all orders.

Ksport and D2 does share alot of their designs for many applications that they have but Ksport is a Japanese Company and uses their own Japanese Engineering Deparment for Coilover Designing. D2 is a Taiwanese company and have their own engineering deparment. Which one is better? It's up to you as I have customers for each brand and they all love them.
Haterz, both brand designes their coilover for competition use and therefore have very high default spring rate and base on your current setup i don't dunno if the kit will provide you the ride quality that you are going after. Most cusomters that have the kit says that the coilovers are firmer than their old setup but the ride isn't bouchy or uncomfortable. So it truely base on what your main goal for your suspension. You can order softer springs to help improve the ride quality when ordering either D2 or Ksport. You may also contact their technical support for help as they are the experts in suspenion
