Time to change the microfilter.....who's got them cheapest?

Im not spending another 45 bucks for one at the dealership, and im sure there are several other places around that sell them to us cheaper. Ive searched around a few shops online (nissanpartspro.com, courtesyparts.com, etc.) and have gotten a good idea, but I just thought it better to ask then wind up paying more than I need to.

thanx guys (and gals - I know youre out there )

Not sure if you have your original or not, but if you do you can just clean it rather than buying a new one. If you bought a replacement for the original, and now need a new one, you can not clean those.

Not sure who has the cheapest, maybe DaveB. His # is in the FAQs.

My max came with a slot for in cabin filter but didn't have one in the first place. I think it is cheap of Nissan to sell a car without an incabin filter when I paid $25K for this car and the last time I went to a stealership and got a quote close to $45.

Confusing on this, it says it will only fit 2005 Maximas? The one for $41 listed says it will fit 2003-2004? Is 2005 different?

you guys think courtesyparts.com would be willing to go for a groupdeal? they have the filter for $45 and change plus shipping so it would probably come out to be almost $60 total. if they give it to us for $40-$45 shipped i'd get atleast two.

They say every 15000 miles, but that's bs. I changed my first one at 20k and it wasn't that bad. The second one I did at 45k and didn't seem too bad either. I'm at 66k, probably going to do it at between 70-75k since the air through my vents don't seem too bad.

no original here. Not sure about a group deal. I mean, its not really a "part" par-se, but I guess we could try. Course, it would still seem like doing a group deal for something like...toilet paper or something.

What do you wash it with? Just water? I'm @ 15K miles with the original filter right now.

Just wash it with warm soapy water (mild dish detergent), rinse well, air-dry...

If you are gonna get the filter from courtesyparts then you might as well buy it from the stealership because after adding the taxes and shipping and handling charges you probably will be up in the mid $50 price range or even closer to $60. Most stealers have them priced from about $40 - $50. At least the ones around here in Massachusetts.

I don't know of any place at the moment that has them priced below $40. But if I find anywhere that does I'll come back and post it here and you can sure bet I'll be buying my next one from the place that beats the $40 price.

Good luck!
