Difference between I35 and 5.5 gen

Hey guys,

I was reading through COnsumer Reports used car guide and it said the I35 had better sound deadening material then the 5.5. What kind of stuff did they use? Is it basically covering all the panels in dynamat or is it something else?

probably nothing spectacular, or nothing worth the effort of swaping it.

The major thing I hate is...
Rear wheel drive - (boo in snow), most people say they hate the awful I35 clock. Also dealer service is more expensive than nissan even though it's the same branch.

Both cars have a harsh ride when going over bumps and falling into pot holes.

If you lift up the carpet in the trunk, it looks like sheets of Dynamat. I hear there are cheaper alternatives sold as insulation in hardware stores or industrial materials suppliers. But I also hear it's nasty to work with—sticky, smelly, messy. I believe foam rubber material is much better and lighter. Check out the site below. Good luck.
