annoying security system

is there anyway to tame my security system down? right now whenever i get out the car and shut the door, the alarm arms immediately . so when i open the door or trunk or hood, the alarm goes off. this is very annoying especiallywhen im doing work on the car. any suggestions?

It sounds like you have an aftermarket alarm. You might want to give us more info on the manufacturer of the alarm.

you've gotta have some type of after market alarm. i had the same issue when i bought my max. the alarm armed itself even when i didnt lock the doors. it got pretty annoying. it was a viper alarm. there might be a kill switch somewhere down by the hood release. i just had to pus and hold the button and that was that. now i'm just using the factory alarm.

Does the remote actually say NISSAN on it anywhere? Do you have some sort of Black Speaker/Siren under the hood probably by the firewall? You could also have two alarms but not have a remote for the other one. Nissan factory alarms don't have an auto arming feature that I know of.
