Another GAB believer!!

I did the GAB this weekend with the coat hanger trick and K&N filter. I couldn't be more happy with it! At first I was skeptical, but I really do hear a nice growl around 3k rpm, and it does seem to be a little more responsive. Now I can save my money for the y-pipe. Thanks all!!

just did it took like 5 minutes, I too am a believer of the GAB. Definately roars through 2nd and 3rd gears, and into 4th at around 3k to 4.5k. As for response improvement, it felt a little better but that could be me...

It's not mutilation, back to stock in less than 5 minutes. I'd rather spend my money eleswhere than an intake that robs power. Best intake IMO, if you're paying, JWT/Stillen. All others do some funky **** with the power curve.

If you are buying an intake that robs HP, then you arent buying an intake bro. Whether its 1 HP or 10 HP, HP is still gained never lost. Get a cattman intake if you want the best performance. My opinion.

That's not exactly true. Some people have reported loss in hp from having an intake. Why not try this since its basically free. you dont have to buy an intake. and ifu want u can just use ur old air filter. If u ever want to go back to stock then well, you got 1 min and ther eya go. That's the reason i created the coat hanger GAB. Easy and no destroying the air filter holder. Dont get me wrong. i went with an injen when i found one for under 100 dollars. Who could argue with that, but i'd be back on that GAB if i could not find a cheap CAI

Someone needs to put the car up on a dyno and prove it once and for all. Until then , its all speculation

just like every other intake
they all do the same thing...increase airflow, give you a growl at WOT, and have very minimal gains

due to a MAF problem i put my stock airbox back on my car and my intake off. besides the fact that my car is running like new i completely forgot how much low end i lost when i put on my intake. I got back in my car and it was flying! so i def think the GAB is better than spending money on CAI

my butt dyno clearly tells me that the Apex-i short ram intake DID NOT lose any tq....but as all of u know....butt dynos are not accurate....so this is just from my experience.....I do not feel any difference from launching at intersections whether with stock, GAB, or apex-i short ram.....the only difference I can say is above 4k...then the apexi pwnz all....

one more thing I can also note....the GAB+stock midpipe is pretty DAMN close to what the apex-i+midpipe feels....the best bang for the buck definitely goes to the GAB (9whp for free proven by NmexMax)....as opposed to say an apex-i short ram (12whp maybe? for $180)....

if you plan to run someone and your opponent has a car that is very similiar in power to our max...and u don't want to lose....i say do the GAB mod real quick....its 9whp proven gains to give u that extra assurance that u won't lose the race....

My injen intake did not necessarily rob power, but shifted it towards the higher powerband. I admit my lowend was noticably sluggish, but my mid to highend felt a little better.

You have to keep in mind that every car acts differently to different mods, so to say that by what you know - intakes ALWAYS create power; is a very misleading comment. I felt more power in my lowend with an intake on my 92 Accord and my 93 Legend Coupe, but felt less lowend power in my 03 Maxima. Although felt more highend power in the 03, seems like it shifted the powerband.

Please make sure you have solidified facts to things you post.

Currently I am completely satisfied with my PAB/GAB. No more feeling that I lost lowend, and highend has slightly increased. Same growl as most intakes.

exactly my point. any intake (GAB included) will have the same minimal gains.
