that's the stupid safety feature that nissan put on our maximas. it prevents kids and pets from getting stuck in any of the windows or sunroof when closing. i had this problem on my passenger side window and nissan fixed it for me under warranty. at first they said it was an adjustment and would charge me $60 but then they said they had to replace something which was covered. now it's happening again.

SEARCH...SEARCH...SEARCH....It's called a "window regulator reset". It takes 5 min to do and nissan tries to **** u in the *** by charging 2 hrs labor for it(Thats what they tried with me). All you have to do is take the interior door cover off and hold a reset button while sliding the window up and down and it resets. For some wierd reason my car's passanger side gets screwed up every 2 monthes but its mad easy to fix.

.) Remove 3 screws

- Remove grey button under mirror. Remove Screw.
- Remove casing behind dor handing (becareful). Remove screw.
- In handle in door remove black button. Remove Screw. Remove tray.

2.) Take a wide tool and start at the hinge and pop off door panel. Every 4-5 inches there's a pop-off. Go the whole way to the latch. About 6-7 pop-offs.

3.) Lift up on the panel....any presto.

4.) Remove plastic layer to the left of the speaker (dont worry about the glue) it resticks.

5.) Look for a rubber button outlined in red. (about 3-4 inches left of the speaker).

6.) Roll the window the whole way up (dont use auto-up feature).

7.) Press and hold button.

8.) Roll the window down. (dont use autodown feature).

9.) When the window is down let go of the button.

10.) Roll the window up manually and down manually (no auto feature).

11.) NOW ROLL-UP USING AUTO FEATURE AND PRESTO FIXED!!!!

Gotta help out a fellow MA maxima owner

its not the regulator. I had the stupid stealer replace two passanger side regulators. The second time he changed the motor and most of the wiring as well. Same result. Its just a stupid problem maximas have just like people who have BOSE have problems somtimes

so i go to my dealership to get my front passenger windows fixed. the service rep said that i need a new "glass run rubber". so i tell him ok to go ahead and fix it. i was wondering to myself, do this part even have anything to do my window rolling back up. I think i might have been jipped. any help would be greatly appreciated!!!
