Has anybody has the "Glass Run Rubber" replaced part no #80330-2Y013. Does this part make the window go up or down??

the part that makes you window go up is the regulator, not the glass run rubber.

the part number will vary by year. what year is your car.

it's a 2k3, it seems like the dealer put in an unnessary part!! that's just my opinions, but then again, i'm no mechanic!!!

looks like they did. i believe this is the part number for the regulator 80720-7Y000 (RH)
and 80721-7Y000 (LH).

did you have the regulator replaced, if so what is the part number that you have?

i'm looking at the reciept at the only part that it's stating is the Glass Run Rubber (Part No: 80330-2Y013). Funny thing is that i only got charge for the part. There's no labor charge stated.

that is probably because it took only 2 mins to replace. looks like you got ripped by the dealer. did it fix your window problem?

well, the window closes, but if i have the same problem again, i'm going to be pissed!!! Figure it this way, if i have the same problem, i should still be under there warranty, so they have to fix it!!!

so what happens today, when i go out for lunch, my front passenger side window does NOT roll up AGAIN. so here i go, back to the stealership to get it replaced. hopefully they will honor their warranty and they'll replaced the right part this time. now the question that is stumping me is, if they mis-diagnois the problem the first time and then they say there was another problem with the (i.e. motor, or something) does that mean i have to pay twice!

i would THINK (emphasis on the think there..) that if it were mis diagnosed in the first place, that either they would give you some kind of discount or fix the problem for free...you just have to talk to the right people...it really all depends on the dealer you go to..some'll cut you some slack, and others wont...i guess you'll find out in the near future.
