injen intake, maf problems?

Has anyone that has an injen intake blown their MAF on a 2K2? I really want an intake mostly for the growl, but I don't want another blown MAF

i have an 00 with an injen intake. my intake went on in september, my MAF blew in february. i replaced it, and then it went out again 2 weeks ago, so since im broke i opted to put my stock airbox back in, since i made the switch back to stock my cars been running like new. not the slightest bit of hesitation at all so i think my problems are solved.

yeah...a lot of people have been having maf problems with the cold air intakes; I decided to go with the JWT pop charger, not as much in terms of performance gains, but you do get the growl and haven't had any blown mafs since i've had it on.

Are you kidding? You're supposed to replace that POS with an A'PEXi or K&N.

I have an A'PEXI in the garage. Since I have not been racing it, I've let it go.

Doing a complete tuneup within the next few weeks and I'll be installing it then. I let the cheap-o get screwed over this winter instead of the good one

I blew my MAF the day I installed the Injen. I'm now running the 2k1 MAF from DaveB with my old thermistor. Car has been running awesome with the intake so far.

Do you think the 03 would suffer the same problems with the MAF sensor? Ive been looking at Injen intakes, but I have been hesitant because I dont want to have to replace the sensor again and again.

Injen on for 22,000 of my car's 33,000 miles. No MAF problems.

rbrowm81, the 2003's have a different MAF part than the 2002's. It seems less prone to failure. In fact my 2002 (which was a late build) came with a 2003 MAF. Maybe that's why I haven't had any issues.

People with all intakes, Injen, PR, Berk, Frankencar, stock, have blown MAFs at one time or another... its really the MAFs that are weak... its a touch and go thing... I've used a K&N drop in filter since I got the car until I replaced it with my Berk about 7k miles ago and haven't blown the MAF yet (40500 miles now)... its just a matter of time....

Don't drive through a river, lake, or puddle over 1.5' in depth and you will be fine.

Just recently installed the injen intake, 2nd day the Service Engine Soon (SES) came on and I took it to autozone and said that theere's a leak in the Evap Emission Control that why the SES light came on, my question is do I need to change anything to stop this supposely leak?????????for example muffler, exhaust. any suggestion, some people said it might be MAF sensor but car passes 2500 rpm.... SOS from a NEWBIE... and what does excatly the Y pipe do, my first car hooking up???

What is the code? Nevermind don't tell me, find it and look what it stands for (exactly) in the ECU code forum.

What year is your car? Stillen, Budget, and Warpspeed also make y-pipes for the 5/5.5th Gens... but some 5.5 Gen owners who got Warpspeeds had fitment issues, while 5th Gen guys seem to be fine with em. Budget used to be good too, but Soonr1 recently had some issues with his y-pipe on his AE. Cattman seems to have the least trouble in terms of y-pipe fitment and quality.

I have a Cattman y-pipe on my 02 and have had no problems...
