Car keeps stalling, Need some help.

Ok so the car was running great when i picked it up saturday. But the last couple of days i have driven it it has been stalling out at idle every so often, say 1 out of 4 times. It only does this when sitting at a stop light after being recently cranked or when the car is cold. Keep in mind it only does it when the car is in drive. My idle when in drive is in the range of 650-700 and is very smooth. Now i didn't do a IACV reset procedure after removing the manifold but i am not sure i was suppose to. Also does this sound like a bad MAF or is it something to do with to much Fuel dump? Right now I am running my original MAF and my car has 70,000 miles on it. I guess it would be time to change it?

Sounds like Fuel Pump problem. Or the fuel line could be loose or cracked(not likely since the car is fairly new), last but not least check all electrical connections to fuel delivery (pump, injectors)

trust me it isnt fuel problem. We had the car hooked up to a wideband and i am getting good fuel pressure readings.

Then I don't know what to tell you. I'm not knowledgable on how much the MAF can affect the car but I've never heard anyone's car shutting off because of a bad MAF, usually the engine just won't rev like normal (only 2 to 3000 RPMs).

Try getting a reading after the car has been running a while.

Just a shot in the dark, When is the last time you cleaned of your throttle-body????? Believe it or not, it makes a big difference.

Your car has alot of work done to it, but my car had the exact same problem and it was the IACV. I just replaced it without any reset procedure and the car runs as good as new. Read my new thread on "PO505 - idle air control valve replacement". Hope thats your problem!

Does your car have trouble all the time or just every once in awhile? Also my cars idle is very steady unless it stalls. When it stalls the idle will slowly dip below 500 where it craps out. Note my problems only occur when in drive and in nuetral. Is this the same with yours?

My Car had trouble most of the time, but ran okay sometimes. But, I did change the parts within 2 days. My car did idle very steady, but would just stall most of the time. I had to two foot my gas and break (automatic tranny) at stop lights, or put the car in neutral and keep the revs up with my foot. Your problem sounds like the same problem, except I got the check engine light to come on. Mine would just crap out in drive, neutral, and at cold startup. I'd be confident in changing the part!

I think we have a winner. That sounds exactly what i am experiencing. Its just weird because i never had problems before. I just go my car back from getting Greddy EManage, 510cc injectors, and getting tunned so there were just so many possibilities. My SES light is on but it is always on so i could have the code and not have known it. I will deffinetly be checking this out. Also did you problem just all of a sudden show up?

Where is the IACV located?

Yes, it started all at once with no signs leading up to the failure. It conveniently started stalling on me at 3:00am when I was dropping a buddy off DOWTOWN, about 35kilometers from home. If you get the codes read, it is PO505.
