Lowering Springs

Hey, Im looking to lower my 2k3. I wanna get the Tein S Tech springs. How are they? How do they sit and how is the ride? Also will they be fine on the stock struts/shocks or do i need aftermarket ones? If i do need them, can anyone recommend springs that wont require new struts/shocks...thanks

Mo

I have the Tein S-Techs with Koni adjustable struts and i love the ride personally. its set up right now kind of stiff, which i happen to really like. They sit very nicely, i will add a few side pics tomorrow if i can, but the weather may not permit me to. Check my cardomain tomorrow and see what you think about the stechs look.

check out this site for info on springs and struts. i wouldnt recommend getting springs without getting new struts because you'll blow out your OE ones.

i've got a 2002 Nissan Maxima SE with Tein S. Tech Springs and Tokico Illumia Shocks...the ride is pretty decent but the springs are kind of bumpy...its a really great look but i personal wouldnt recommend buying the Tein S Tech Springs...i would check out the Eibach or H&R springs...i've talked to other Maxima owners and they are extremely satisfied with those brands of springs

Btw MoDiddy, lemme just say... opinions on looks, ride quality and handling will vary vastly from person to person.. the best way to figure out what you want is to think about what ya want and then try it out for yourself. Are ya looking for a set-up that looks nice? Rides nice? Handles well? Once ya make that decision, find some local .org members and set up a meet of some sort where they will let ya ride or even drive their cars so that you can see for yourself if ya like the suspension set-up or not. Too often people go with the opinions of others, thinking that it is the "best" set-up only to be severely disappointed when they find that it is not to their liking once its on the car.
