I personally like the Eibach pro kit. All the other spring kits seem to be too severe of a drop for street use (at least in my state). I haven't heard anything bad about Maxspeeds, but all the other brands are at least double the price, so I get a little suspicious about the maxspeeds. They sell coilovers on e-bay for $55, but would you trust them? I don't. IMO you'd be better off with something else.

People here who have em like em... talk to Irish44J or NYPD Arnold... those are the only 2 I can think of offhand... but don't let the price fool ya, they are good springs. Btw, I have Progress springs and like the way they ride. My next alternative was H-Techs, which I may still get some day if I still have the car.

If ya haven't already, take a look here:

Check out this thread:

Almost 500 people polled, and Maxspeeds were the 3rd most popular... that thread should help ya locate people with Maxspeeds (and other springs) and you can find out from them directly.

Maxspeeds are a quality spring, no doubt about it. I don't think anybody here has reported any issues with them too.

I'm running maxspeeds and kyb gr2s and I love the setup! They are good quality and I don't have any problems with them. I think they are a good choice... and they are not harsh at all!

I have the maxspeed's with GR2's also. I like the ride way better than stock. I've had mine on for about 2 months now and no problems. I might get the s-tech just to be lower.

I bought a set of Eibach pro-kit springs but after seeing housecor's site, stating that they are harsh, I sold them on ebay and I bought some Maxspeeds right after. I have been running Maxspeed springs on the stock shocks for 26k miles with no problems at all. My car has 56k miles currently.

I've been running Maxspeeds for almost 2 years on the stock shocks, too. Very pleased. Medium drop and close to stock ride, although the stock shocks are a bit worn now. No problem though, because I'll be installing my D2's next weekend!

I have had maxspeeds for about a year and a half. No problems and the ride is great.

D2s are not struts.... they are coilovers... you do need separate springs with coilovers.
