need to get a scratch out....
I have this pretty deep scratch on my hood that goes through the paint but cant' find anything good enough to repair it. Does anyone have any good ideas? or have good experiences getting deep scratches repaired???

all the way through the paint? you need touch up paint if that's the case...if it's not all the way thru, you have to do some wetsanding and touchup to repair it....how big is the scratch? maybe touch up paint with langka will work? that stuff is awesome for small chips, but i've never had to use it on any really deep scratches..

Yeah, all the way through the paint. Its like an inch long and that wide at all but its such an eye sore for me. Do you know where to get the touch up paint?
I bought this 2 in 1 scratch fix from Autozone and it says its the correct color but I tried it on some paper because it looks too dark and it still looks too dark on paper so I'm afraid to put on my car. I'm so confused

www.courtesyparts.com sells both regular bottles of touch up paint/clearcoat as well as the double-sided 'pen' type with the paint and clearcoat....i would first pick up one of those, then go to www.langka.com and buy the 'blob eliminator' which is totally worth it IMO....then go to town with it and it'll be as good as new

My car got keyed, but I don't trust touch up paint to be exactly right with the fading and wear that occurs to car paint over just a couple years. I opted to just wax the scratch. Turtle wax comes with a "chapstik" stick that you put into the scratch so it will be flush with the level of the paint, then you just wax over it. I did this, and if I stand 10 feet away from the car and look for the scratch I have a hard time seeing it and it doesn't show up in pictures or anything either.
