although it isn't as clean as the one discussed a while ago on the .org, this guy did it:

http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/227798/4

Btw, the guy that supposedly did his in this thread: http://forums.maxima.org/showthread....ght=Auto+A%2FC

wasnt ever mentioned i dont think...nobody knew who it was that did this, or if it was a photoshop or not..

I say just keep it like it is...there's not really any use in moving it..our dash has plenty of room since we have a double-din radio...plus having to reach that far up every time you wanted to change the A/C settings would be a royal PITA after a while...just my .02

thats what i was looking for! http://forums.maxima.org/showthread...ight=Auto+A%2FC

however, it doesnt tell me who did it. I know it is real because he sold that unit to someone. I just cant remember his name. It is either do it this way, or mount it in my center console....

Well, it is not like i am doing it just because i am bored or something... I am installing a touch screen tv in my car, and i want it in the center where the radio is right now. to do that, i need to move things around...

I hear ya Silvermax2k2. I was thinking of doing the big DVD flip up, but I didn't want the screen to be in front of the ac/heat vents, so I was thinking of where I could put my controls. Whoever did that mod hacked into my brain while I was sleeping. The only thing is I didn't want to submerge the whole system in fiberglass, I wanted it to look a litle more OEM. I think late 80's and early nineties Lincoln LSC's had the climate controls up top.
