Amping front door speakers
#42
A nice place to hide the amps is under one of the front seats. Just make sure that the area that has you adjustments is facing rearward so you can access them. You should wire your new fronts directly to the amp, and either get a cross over (or the amp may have one already) so you are not running the bass through the speakers. If you already have a sub, you don't want to run the speakers full range.

Just an update..
I installed the amp via the High input connection. I am now getting a high pitch whining noise coming from the front speakers. It gets louder when i rev the engine. I am using the same ground that i had on previously. It's connected to an all metal flat surface (no paint). I even tried moving it to no avail. There is a ground line on the high input connection, but i just taped up the end of it and didn't connect it to anything. I also have the remote line running along the drivers side with the new front door speaker wire. Could this cause a problem?

If you really can't figure it out, you could try running another ground to the battery. Check this thread out: http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=399367.

Thanks for the link. I don't currently have a ground wire running from the negative terminal to the body. How would this work to fix the noise?
