well, i wont be cutting anything. whoever installs these for me will be, but i want to make sure they are cutting the right things. so of these pics from Housecors site (thanks  ) what should we cut? where he has the red lines drawn, or the other side, or something else inside this cover, which was also mentioned. i hope a shop knows all this stuff, but since i have S.Techs, im sure i will need to have these cut one way or the other

Not cutting the bump stops on S-techs will (i think) increase the life of the strut but not your wheels.

My S-techs let me bottom out everywhere and destroy my wheels while saving the strut. I've been on stock struts for over 10,000 miles and they are still working.

but what now, now that you have 19s? will you cut the bumpstops to save the wheels and then replace your struts? im putting on Illuminas (as soon as i get my god damn wheels ) so i wont be concerned about wearing out the OEMs, but i dont wanna quickly wear out the Illuminas...

All cutting the bumpstops does is allow the strut to have almost full compression. Since S-Techs are so low, the struts won't compress fully causing you to bottom out more.

I just installed B&G 1.6" springs today. Ride is much harsher than expected.
Are you saying Illuminas will make ride softer?
