red climate control pix
wow that looks really good! I've always liked the red inside the best ever since i rode in my babysitter's 96 Audi A4 (yes, i was only 7 when those were out..) I was jealous when irish did his in red, because i wanted to be the first...but oh well, you can't always be unique...
Yes its an eclipse deck! 5425
In the manual climate control there is only 3 bulbs. so i just used 3 LED's. but i did notice that there is a clear piece of plastic, very similar to the one that is under it for the shifter light thing to kinda refract the light, if thats what its called.
as for the doors, the driver one worked fine. after the breaking and frying of lines on the board(lucky no important ones) i was finally able to wire up all 5 LED's, unfortunatly i had to buy 30 ga. wire to power the LED's cause some of the connections pulled off the board.
the passenger side door lights where the only other ones attempted at this time. I tried taking out the lock button, then i saw that there was an original LED in there and not a bulb. So i used the soldering gun and heated the contacts to take off the LED that came stock and replaced it with the red one. But it wont come on. The window switch also didn't light up. I connected it just as in the pictures with the resistor on the right side if ur looking at it head on and when i plugged it in it didn't work. but the ***** also fell out of the switch somehow and then the springs broke so i had to buy a new one and now my window still doens't roll up or down so i haven't tried it again.

Yeah, the ***** and springs are fun...I've done it so many times now I can put all that crap back together just fine, but it's hard to explain over the internet......
I'm assuming you've seen this pic, but here's a pic of the clear plastic lighting grid with LEDs for each button, the way I did it....but looks like yours came out nicely...mine was uneven lighting when I used the stock 3 bulb positions

never seen that pic. but ya it did come out nicely. I did have to open it one more time to just aim the LED more to one side but after i did it was nice. But i have a question as to how u get that thing so damn lit up. I have 5000 or 6000 mcd 5mm and i have 5 of those things on the clear plastic piece under the climate control to shine down on my shifter and u can't even tell in the pics. But it doesn't look nearly as lit up as that does.
In both the upper grid (the pic above) and the lower clear plastic piece, I actually drilled holes INTO the plastic, so the LEDs are INSIDE the plastic, not just sitting on top. I only have 3 LEDs shining down in mine.
Also note, all of the LEDs I used are 900mcd....it's all about aiming them correctly....believe me, I tried several different setups before settling on the final setup....quite a PITA!
