Starter question

I recently was at a business meeting and i came out and went to start my car, it made a click noise. I tried to jump it, even though i knew it wasnt the battery, but tried anyways. The jump didnt work so i had it towed to a mech. and he said it was starter, he did the job for 200 installed. Is 200 good for a new starter installed? And do you people with experience with starter problems know if 5 years for a starter is sufficent.

Thanks
Brandon

My starter started acting up last summer and I got around to replacing it around christmas. I paid $250 at the dealership for the starter alone as it was going to be a DIY project.
So yes $200 installed was a good price.
