wiper question?
wiper question?
I have questions about wiper size. I bought my car used and I noticed that my passenger side wiper is about have the size of the driver side. Is that factory recomended or did the 1st owner decide to put on themselves.
Thanks for your help!

OK, I'll try to be a little more helpful than this guy. The driver's side is 26" and the passenger's side is 17" if we are talking about your 2000 Maxima. For the 96 also listed in your profile, they are about the same size in comparison to each other 21" and 20". So yes, if we are talking about you 5th gen Maxima, it is normal for the driver's side to look much bigger than the passenger side.

yeah i was talking about my 2k max
so its is significantly shorter.
nothing to do with wiper size, but I thought Id share...
Im sure alot or most of you may do this already...but If there is one person who doesnt then my job here is done!
This works especially well in snow/ice---but also with rain.
There you are driving along in the snow/ice/rain and something is on your windshield which is run over by your wiper. You now have a huge arc on your windshield. Murphys law dictates, this will be right in your line of site.
I will open up my windows and catch the wiper with my left hand and flick it up in the air when it comes to the stopping point on the left. Most of the time this will un-do the trouble and your windshield will be "arc-free". But now your arm is wet.
It sure beats pulling over and getting out of the car and fixing it.
