If you rebuilt/changed auto tranny....

My Max is closing in on 100k miles and it's been acting up for sometime now. All the gears are starting to slip and just rev in that gear. My questions are to peeps who had their tranny rebuilt....

I heard once you rebuild the tranny the car is a hog?
Is $1100 to rebuild with 6 month warranty or $1500 for a year better?
Has anyone had theirs done and something go wrong or bad?
Is it better to look for an original low mi tranny and swap out?

Please give advice buddies.

Yeah that's my question too.

Roughly, how much do you think it is for everything you would need for the swap? Please list them (also with the brand) and a price so I can get a feel for what Im looking at. Computer, starter, cables, flywheel etc....

I wonder how much a Miami shop would chargeto do this?

If this looks like this is over my head, CAR FOR SALE!!! lol.
