The other night I was pulled over by 2 cops in my town for having clear side marker lights w/ stock bullbs. I installed these almost 2 years ago and havent had a problem til now. I guess the cops dont have anything better to do. NOw i have to change them out and have the DMV inspect by car. What color bulbs to people recommend????????

 

Amber in the front, red in the rear....then you should be ok.

 

The stock amber fronts and red rears will pass any inspection with your stock bulbs... the bulbs aren't the problem, the markers are.

 

Man thats gay, ****en cop, so worthless, i've had mine on for like 3 years no tickets for them yet, if ia cop decides to give me one, bet your sweet *** im takeing that bull**** to court. Whats with this inspection crap i've been hearing from you guys on the east coast, i've never heard of it here. Yo did you ask the cops why its illegal, or if he had any other better things to do. Well maybe that last one is bad idea to ask them, they get pissed for that ****, they tell you they're gonna give you soooo mannny tickets then they come back with one ticket for tints and the others a warning for speeding, lol thats from personal experience. In NYS, it doesn't matter the color of the marker. As long as it emits amber at night, that's all that matters.

If it is the law..it is the law.. just replace them back to the factory ones..let them inspect the car and once you are out of there put back the clear ones again... hehehehehe....

 

East coast and Southern states (like Louisiana) have annual vehicle inspections that you have to pay $10 for and get an inspection sticker for that year. If a cop pulls you over and you don't have the sticker, you get another ticket...

Get the wedge LED bulbs, the color is more brilliant through the clears, IMHO.

I'm gonna put clear ones in pretty soon. To get it inspected, I'll just put in the stock ones when I need to, like someone said.

 

Believe it or not I have blue turning signals on my max. The hybird dark blue ones and I had them since last september. I gotten pulled over about 3x so far, twice was just a rode block where they just told me to change them and once I got pulled over. He gave me a ticket for speeding but told me to get rid of the lights. I play a risky game but i had to take them off, my blue max just looks too damn sexy to take em off, especially with PIAA extreme Purple Blue HID replacements

 

From what I hear, in New York even if you dont have the correct color bulbs they cannot give you a ticket anymore. Accoding to a friend it is ONLY inspection failable and no longer ticketable anymore.

Dont know if this is true, however, I did get pulled over (for following to close) and the trooper did not make a peep about my clears with blue bulbs behind them, and yes it was at night soooo it was very obvious.

However, i did get the best of the trooper because he pulled ME over while the guy I was "following to close" was doing 10 under, impeding traffic (huge line behind him), was talking on his cell and was break checking me (thats why i got so close). I brought this up to the trooper... he gave me a dirty look and told me to get out of there.

 

You're in America now, so just deal with it, have a little respect for their profession... besides, why don't ya just go out to some cops and tell it to their faces instead of posting it on here like such a tough guy... ...
